CBA’s Bridge Education Programme In India
Objective: To create wider bridge awareness, orient people towards learning bridge & creating , providing system & opportunity for them to learn bridge .
Features:
1. Bridge Publicity & promotion: Create more & wider awareness about the game across all sections of society by creating ‘ Bridge ‘ brand, use publicity materials like posters, banners, car stickers. Use these tools at private & public places . Liaison with the press & electronic media regularly to achieve coverage for the game and thereby raise awareness level.
2. Orientation Camps : Organize camps for public , to enable them get useful information about the game , satisfy queries , clarify misconceptions & find out why & how this game can be learnt. Series of camps to be conducted in select cities as a part of phase I of the programme .
3. Bridge Education Facilitators ( BEFs ) : The primary role of these BEFs will be to guide people about learning bridge – how , where , by whom , to learn bridge .The list of BEFs will be displayed on CBA website with contact details .BEFs to have them registered in this programme and keep track of students’ progress.
4. Coaching sessions : Camps to be followed up with coaching sessions by the same team who conduct the camp .Coaching sessions must be start within 8 days from the camp date and at least a few sessions should be conducted in a quick series.
5. Keeping track & retention level : Coach or the BEF to ensure that fresher’ learning process is closely monitored , students are helped in solving , adjusting scheduling problems if any .
6. Net Option : For those who wish to learn bridge but just cannot accommodate the coaching schedule , CBA is gearing up to build BBO coaching classes ( Net ).
The programme has got started in Mumbai. The first camp was held on 12th August. 19 fresher attended. 9 have immediately joined the coaching sessions starting on 19th August . Another camp will be held on 19th August and 26th August.
