The Tolani Grand Prix Bridge Championship 2007 got underway today at Hotel Residence, Vihar Lake, Mumbai.
51 teams from all over India are participating in the Team of Four event. After playing 10 rounds (6 today & 4 tomorrow) of round robin (of 10 boards each) the top 8 teams will qualify for the Quarterfinals. The non-qualifiers will start with the Open Pairs event.
The scores at the end of 4 rounds were – FINWAYZ SAPPERS (84 VPs), WEAROLOGY (81), S.D. ASSOCIATES (80), TRANSPARENT, PUNE (80), FORMIDABLES (78), ABA (77), SAND (74) & GOA BRIDGE (73).
The leaders FINWAYZ SAPPERS are represented by R.Kannan, Sreekrishnan, Afshar Majeed, N. Prakasam and Capt. Paul Abraham.
