The 2008 World Wide Bridge Contest is being held on 6th & 7th June 2008 … do promote the event and get as many clubs as possible to play! It is a fun and enjoyable event, with a great commentary by Eric Kokish for the players to have afterwards.
It is scored across the whole field – each club scores locally then (using one of the many compatible scoring programs) uploads the results to the central servers where it is re-scored to give an overall result. It is very interesting to watch how the scores change as new ones are uploaded, and the players really enjoy it (even if they have some difficulty understanding how it works and why their scores change !!)
